Only have three days to discover Manhattan?
Don’t worry: with good planning and the perfect accommodation, you can visit the most important places and enjoy New York City.
And best of all, thanks to NYC Empire Apartments, you can be just minutes away from the city’s main highlights.
Here’s what we recommend:
Day 1: Midtown, Central Park and the Big Classics

Let’s start at the top—in Midtown.
Right outside your apartment facing the Empire State Building, you can visit this architectural icon and, if you’re up for it, head to the observation deck to enjoy the city from above.
Just a short walk away, you’ll find the New York Public Library and Bryant Park, two great spots for a stroll and a relaxing break between visits.
Continue on to Times Square, that iconic crossroads that never sleeps and is filled with bright advertising screens.
From there, head to Rockefeller Center to see the famous Radio City Music Hall and, if you wish, go up to the Top of the Rock. The views of Manhattan are spectacular—especially with the Empire State Building in the background.
Not far away, Fifth Avenue awaits for a scenic walk, shopping, and visits to landmarks like St. Patrick’s Cathedral or the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
If you love art—or are just curious—the MoMA is a must. But if you prefer to keep walking, Fifth Avenue is lined with iconic shops.
The afternoon is perfect for visiting Central Park. Enter from the south side, rent a bike, or walk by Bow Bridge, Bethesda Fountain, or the zoo.
If you have more time and energy, the Upper West Side and Upper East Side are right next door, home to the Metropolitan Museum and the Guggenheim.
Day 2: Downtown and New York Culture

The second day is ideal for heading to the southern part of Manhattan, a place full of contrasts.
From your accommodation, you can take the subway or walk to the Financial District. Wall Street, the Stock Exchange building, and the famous Charging Bull are must-sees for any visitor.
This is your moment: snap the classic photo with the bull and walk through the streets where some of the world’s biggest economic decisions are made.
Just around the corner is the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, part of the city’s recent history. We recommend visiting the museum if you want to understand the impact of that day on New York and the world.
Next, head to Battery Park and hop on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Back on land, go to the neighborhoods of Tribeca and SoHo, known for their shops, cafes, and food spots.
To end the day, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoy the skyline views at sunset.
Day 3: Chelsea and Greenwich Village

For your final day, go for a less touristy but equally charming route.
Start in Chelsea and then head to the High Line, the park built on an old railway line, full of gardens and open-air art.
It’s a unique walk with views of the city and great photo spots.
From here, visit Chelsea Market for a global selection of food and to grab a special souvenir.
Continue on to Greenwich Village and arrive at Washington Square Park. If you love music or literature, you’ll be walking the same streets where many great artists and writers lived and worked.
Don’t miss Little Italy and Chinatown—we recommend trying a cannoli or some dumplings. If you still have time, head to Union Square or the East Village.
